Youth Care Worker

Established in 1990, Sequel Youth and Family Services – Charles Britt Academy is a licensed and academically accredited 28-bed residential treatment facility. The program specializes in treating adolescent males with substance abuse and/or behavioral disorders. The campus is located in St. Petersburg, FL.

The Job We are seeking talented individuals to help drive the success of youth in our communities. As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide direct supervision to all adolescent males ages 14
-18. You will serve as a role model and provide support & structure to the residents in our care.

Daily Duties

• Supervise residents in their daily routines providing rewards and consequences as prescribed by our behavior management system
• Maintain routine order on dorm unit and during activities
• Address group concerns according to Positive Peer Culture standards and elicit positive change for residents
• Complete assessments, reviews and other documentation in a timely manner

Must Haves

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
• Over the age of 23
• Maturity, empathy and patience
• Be special – Not everyone can do what we do
• The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols
• A minimum of one-year experience working with at risk youth in a juvenile setting or related setting
