Job Description Summary

Develops and implements specialized code supporting the interfaces between an organization's business application systems and a data warehouse.

Job Description

This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.

Responsibilities
  • Oracle Database Development:
    Create and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and database schemas
  • Database Optimization:
    Analyze and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage
  • CI/CD Implementation:
    Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools to automate the build, test, and deployment processes
  • Technical Documentation:
    Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all projects
  • Plan and Execute Development Projects:
    Collaborate with both the technology team and our Business Partners throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and level‑2 support, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
Technical Skills / Experience
  • Experience with Oracle SQL including analytics and windowing functions, dynamic SQL and set operations
  • Experience with PL/SQL development including packages, procedures, functions, pipelined table functions and other database objects
  • Oracle SQL performance tuning using profiling tools, optimizer hints, query refactoring, table partitioning, and index design (including index‑organized tables)
  • Understanding of Oracle's automatic and manual locking mechanisms
  • Experience with developing custom exception handling in PL/SQL
  • Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Experience with job scheduler tools such as BMC Control‑M
  • Proven track record working in both waterfall and agile SDLC frameworks
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry including middle and back‑office functions
  • Experience in collaborating with business counterparts to understand detailed requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Oracle APEX for low‑code development
  • Experience with SQL Server and MS Access
  • Experience with web application development using Java and Angular
  • Experience with Unix and Shell scripting
  • Experience with cloud technologies like AWS
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks
Education

Bachelor’s:
Business Administration, Bachelor’s:
Computer and Information Science (Required), Bachelor’s:
