Sr. Software and Systems Quality Engineer
Location:

Role Type:

Security Clearance:
Active U.S. Government issued DoD Secret Clearance required on Day 1
- Interface with senior team members to solve software quality problems using established quality practices.
- Present Root Cause Corrective Action Findings to engineering and program leadership.
- Collaborate with senior team members to recommend changes to processes and procedures.
- Review software products and processes for compliance with contractual requirements and work practices for completeness.
- Perform program quality assessments.
- Interface with Quality and Program leadership on quality issues.
- Review flow of system/subsystem requirements to/from Hardware/Software requirements.
- Interface with product development and test personnel.
- Learn and apply emerging software quality and development paradigms such as Agile or Dev Sec Ops .
- Review engineering materials related to the design and release of software artifacts.
- Critique and participate in metrics reviews.
- Audit lead for Quality Design and development on your local program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS) or advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.”
- 5 years of prior relevant experience if holding a Bachelor’s degree.
- Active and transferable U.S. Government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience, knowledge, or exposure to software coding and/or testing.
- Experience reviewing software products and processes for compliance with contractual requirements.
- Master’s degree in a STEM‑related discipline.
- Experience with Agile, Dev Ops, Dev Sec Ops , code analysis, and/or test automation.
- Knowledge of software testing, cybersecurity, software or information assurance.
- Demonstrated applied critical thinking skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and work with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with phases of the development life cycle.
- Ability to prioritize workload in a multi‑tasking, resource‑constrained environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) or similar industry certification.
- Experience with IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS.
- Experience with basis of estimate and proposal.
