Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Onsite)
Section Leader/Senior ManagerLead a team of 10–15 software engineers and contribute as an individual contributor across the software development life cycle, primarily using C++.
Responsibilities- Manage technical development of team members, including training, mentorship, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the Department Leader on policy rollout and alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as liaison between staff and program leadership for assignments, performance, and recognition.
- Coordinate program staffing, reductions, and applicant interviews.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of application software and tools.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Lead and participate in internal code reviews and system reviews.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering specialists to meet milestones.
- Maintain configuration management practices for software products.
- Active Secret U.S. security clearance required on day 1; ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.
- Experience developing C/C++ and object‑oriented software in an Agile/Scrum, Dev Sec Ops environment with test automation.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated success in prior leadership roles.
- B.S. or M.S. in a STEM field with at least 8 years of related experience (or equivalent advanced degree and 5 years of experience).
- Current Top Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and system architecture.
- Experience with EVMS or similar earned‑value management systems.
