Job Description Summary
Note:
This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration.
In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
As part of the Trading Systems technology development team, you will analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and support our Equity and Option Trading Systems, along with back-office trade posting. This role involves coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining application software, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze system requirements and program interactions.
- Develop new code or reuse existing code as recommended.
- Lead projects, coordinate efforts, and monitor performance.
- Stay current with new technologies and methodologies.
- Participate in system testing, validation, and documentation.
- Provide technical advice and assist in resolving programming problems.
- Write/review system specifications, including requirements and flow charts.
- Assist in project planning and review test results.
- Address problems to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
- More than five (5) years of relevant development or engineering experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in the brokerage industry or back-office brokerage accounting is beneficial.
- Experience with HPNS COBOL
85, SQL/MX, MP, Pathway servers, and HPNS/Tandem Guardian OS. - Familiarity with brokerage and clearing business/industry preferred.
- Knowledge of New Accounts opening and account transfers processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, and various collaboration tools (e.g., email, Zoom, Teams).
- Skilled in requirements gathering, project estimation, developing test plans, and release/change management.
- Ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, choose appropriate actions, and remain current with technical and professional skills.
- Flexibility to work non-standard shifts, including nights/weekends, and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Education- Bachelor’s in Computer and Information Science.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering.
- High School (HS) – Required.
- General Experience – 3 to 6 years.
