Job Overview
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Solution Train Engineer (STE) for the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Design Agent / Engineering Services (DA/ES) program. The role is onsite in St. Petersburg, FL and requires an active U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate execution of multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the CEC DA/ES program.
- Drive synchronization across ARTs to keep Program Increments (PIs) on track.
- Manage PI events including PI Planning, System Demos, Sprint Reviews, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Identify, manage, and resolve cross-team risks, dependencies, and impediments.
- Collaborate with Product Release Managers, Release Train Engineers, System Architects, and Product Owners to maintain a well‑defined, prioritized backlog.
- Facilitate communication among the Solution Train, ARTs, and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing SAFe best practices, mentoring teams, and fostering Lean‑Agile culture.
- Ensure compliance with RTX processes and standards while delivering high‑quality solutions.
- Minimum 8 years of large‑scale program management or leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a SAFe environment.
- SAFe Solution Train Engineer certification or equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of SAFe principles, roles, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira or Rally.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs with multiple dependencies, teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills with ability to influence and build consensus.
- Required:
U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable Secret security clearance.
- Experience in aerospace or defense industries.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, software development, and large‑scale solution integration.
- Familiarity with the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) or similar systems.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
- Degree in STEM field and 10+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
