Software Engineer
Position: Software Engineer II.
Location: St. Petersburg, FL.
Role Type: Onsite.
Security Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required. Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret‑level U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in requirements, design, development and testing of embedded software across application, middleware and operating system layers.
- Design, code, test, integrate and document software solutions.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Coach, review and delegate work to lower‑level professionals.
- Maintain configuration management of software products following established practices.
- Operate in a collaborative SAFe agile environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with C/C++ and object‑oriented software design.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing software in a team‑based, Agile/SCRUM environment with Dev Sec Ops and test automation.
- Prior leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner.
- Experience working with large, complex software systems and refactoring legacy code.
- Experience writing software for real‑time multithreaded applications and debugging related issues.
Compensation: Salary range $68,900 – $131,100 USD, based on experience.
