Overview

The Y is the nation s largest provider of swim lessons, dedicated to improving water safety and swimming skills for all ages. As a part-time Swim Instructor, you ll provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for participants in our swim classes.

• Teach swimming and water safety skills to students of varying ages and ability levels, from Parent/Child to Adult classes.
• Instruct students in swimming and exercise fundamentals in accordance with YMCA standards.
• Ensure proper technique, appropriate use of equipment, and a safe, engaging learning environment.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Comfortable working with participants of all ages and skill levels.
• Current certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Swim Instructor training are a plus.
• In-house training is available for qualified candidates.
• Ability to demonstrate proper swim instruction techniques and safely lift equipment and small-to-average-size children.

$15.00–$20.00/hour.
