About the Role:
As a Warehouse Associate in the transportation and warehousing industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse facilities. Your efforts will directly impact the accuracy and timeliness of inventory management, contributing to seamless supply chain operations. You will be responsible for maintaining organized stock areas, preparing orders for shipment, and supporting inventory control processes.
This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, your work will help maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity that support our company’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to safely operate Stand up forklifts, cherry pickers
Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks
Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
Experience working in a fast-paced logistics or distribution center.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills including data entry and use of handheld scanning devices.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming shipments to verify contents and condition.
Organize and store products in designated locations to optimize warehouse space and accessibility.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company procedures and customer specifications.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and reporting hazards.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Skills:
The required skills such as physical stamina and basic math are essential for handling daily warehouse tasks like lifting, sorting, and verifying shipments accurately. Attention to detail ensures that orders are picked and packed correctly, minimizing errors and returns. Communication and teamwork skills facilitate smooth coordination with colleagues and supervisors to meet operational targets. Preferred skills like forklift operation and familiarity with warehouse management systems enhance efficiency and safety in handling materials and tracking inventory.
Computer literacy supports accurate data entry and real-time inventory updates, which are critical for maintaining supply chain integrity.
