Director of Nursing – Perimeter Saint Robert

Role OverviewThe Director of Nursing oversees the planning, direction, implementation, and enhancement of quality nursing and overall milieu. This role includes strategic budgeting, resource management, staff supervision, data analysis, and reporting to the Executive Director and Leadership Committees.
Core Responsibilities- Participate in and follow all mandatory guidelines for youth care, Individual Treatment Plans (ITP), and Milieu Therapy (MT) planning goals.
- Collaborate with nursing and other departments to formulate and annually review policies that meet regulatory standards.
- Schedule, lead, direct, and supervise nursing staff, mental health technicians, and other professionals, ensuring staffing aligns with safety, regulations, and budget.
- Ensure ongoing competency of staff through examinations, observation, training, and peer reviews.
- Develop and implement quality improvement measures to enhance treatment and promote positive resident outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records in compliance with documentation standards.
- Actively participate in Leadership Committee meetings, representing nursing needs and supporting clinical strategies across service areas.
- Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
- Collaborate with Executive Director, physicians, case managers, and therapists to provide nursing consultations and direct care support 24/7.
- Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that respects safety, rights, and cultural differences.
- Act as a liaison between families and healthcare providers, offering education, support, and resources.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a nursing leadership role, especially in pediatric or adolescent care.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient‑centered care.
- Experience in behavioral health or pediatric nursing.
- Background in inpatient psychiatric care.
