Retail Scan Associate; Salem, IL

This is a permanent part‑time role. Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve sales performance for the product and retailer.

• Perform in‑store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.

• Use a downloadable app to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store.

• Provide the quantity of roughly 45% of the products scanned.

• Complete Display Scanning for the entire store each week, which can take several hours.

• Work on Custom Projects that add 1–2 additional hours of scanning for specific product details, typically occurring almost every week.

• Meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data to clients.

The base hours average 4–9 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are often assigned for special projects, especially from January through June. Full scheduling details are discussed during the interview.

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
• Ability to endure long periods on your feet while accessing products throughout the store
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods
