Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for a Trailer Mechanic for our Salem, IL location!

Address: 8A Carpenter Drive, Salem, IL. 62881

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Pay Range: $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
  • Mechanical skills and abilities
  • The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
  • Tank service and repair
  • Trailer suspension installation and repair
  • Experience with air brake systems and repairs
  • Willingness to learn how to MIG/TIG weld on aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
Physical Demands:
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
