Infection Preventionist (RN) – Salem Crossing

On‑Call Rotation Required.
RN Required | Long‑Term Care or Healthcare Experience Preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs.
  • Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state guidelines.
  • Conduct surveillance, reporting, and education related to infection control practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support quality outcomes and regulatory readiness.
  • Provide staff education and ongoing training on infection prevention protocols.
Skills Needed
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of infection prevention practices and regulations.
  • Leadership: Ability to guide, educate, and support staff in maintaining compliance.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively educate and collaborate with all levels of staff.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to respond quickly to infection concerns and staffing needs.
Requirements
  • Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain.
  • Completion of CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Previous experience in long‑term care, hospital, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Ability to participate in on‑call rotation (weekday and weekend coverage as part of leadership team).
