Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Salem, Massachusetts. This is a Contract position ideal for professionals with strong expertise in operational accounting and a background in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. The role requires proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and a detail-oriented approach to financial management.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee operational accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.

- Manage payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.

- Perform month-end close procedures to maintain accurate financial records.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and correctness in financial reporting.

- Prepare and review journal entries for accurate documentation of financial transactions.

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

- Monitor and maintain internal accounting controls to safeguard company assets.

- Utilize Quick Books Desktop to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and operational accounting processes.

- Demonstrated ability to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing tasks.

- Experience with month-end close procedures and general ledger reconciliation.

- Familiarity with preparing financial statements and supporting audit processes.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in the Services industry is preferred.
