What You'll Do:

Salem Public Schools is seeking dedicated educators to join the Curriculum Review Team. This team will play a critical role in the foundational success of the newly merged Sarah Parker Remond Innovation School. Members will evaluate and select the Math and ELA curricula that will shape the academic experience for our students.

Role Responsibilities and Timelines:

The team will participate in a series of three focused sessions to ensure a comprehensive selection process.

Responsibilities include:

* Curriculum Exploration:
Learning about various high-quality Math and/or ELA curriculum options.

* Instructional Testing:
Testing specific lessons to assess classroom viability and student engagement.

* Consensus Building:
Collaborating with colleagues to reach a final consensus on the best curriculum for the Sarah Parker Remond Innovation School.

Total Compensation: $270 (4.5 meeting hours and 1.5 of asynchronous exploration or planning) per team.

* Skilled in providing equitable access to the curriculum, particularly in underserved populations.

* Able to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team.

* Has a strong work ethic, is self-directed, and has the ability to work independently.

Job Requirements:

* Current educator at the future Sarah Parker Remond School

* Demonstrated expertise in Math or ELA instructional practices.

* Commitment to attending all three 1.5 hour scheduled review sessions and ability to complete 1.5 hours of asynchronous work outside of the meetings.

* Experience with curriculum implementation or data-driven decision-making preferred.
