Salem Public Schools is looking for a secondary certified Health & Wellness Teacher to teach health education to students in grades 9-12. This educator will inspire, empower, and challenge our students to pursue excellence in reaching their potential to become health literate adults.
Rolls and Responsibilities- Creating engaging lessons and activities as part of a skills-based, comprehensive health education program that favors learning and personal growth that leads to health literacy.
- Establish positive relationships with students.
- Allow opportunities for students to develop, learn, practice, and become proficient in skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to become health literate.
- Develop skills-based performance assessments that gauge student growth around knowledge and skill development.
- Maintain a safe, positive learning environment that meets the needs of all learners.

- Bachelor's Degree (Required);
Master’s Degree (Preferred) - Required Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure in Health Education
- Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement (Required within 1-year of start date)
- Highly trained in health education
