Description
The Bertolon School of Business (BSB) at Salem State University is seeking to fill an open-rank, full-time,tenure-track position in marketing in the marketing and decision sciences department in fall 2027. BSB is seeking candidates with expertise in marketing and related fieldsto teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing. Previous college level teaching experience and scholarly publications in marketing and related fields are highly valued.

Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department, BSB, and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester and expectations for research are in line with AACSB accredited schools with a similar mission. Regular work schedule includes in-person classroom instruction, office hours, and campus-based professional responsibilities.
The position is subject to available funding.
- PhD/DBA in marketing or related discipline from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution. ABD candidates may be considered if conferred by August 31, 2027.
- Previous university/college teaching experience.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness a plus. - Evidence of scholarly productivity or professional impact in pedagogical and applied research in marketing or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with and a commitment to teaching a heterogeneous studentpopulation with various backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles.
- A demonstrated record of, or potential for, effective teaching in a variety of instructional formats (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, online).
- Practitioner experience in marketing or related fields.
- As aHispanic and Minority Serving Institution (HSI/MSI), Salem State University seeks to enrich the faculty/librarian ranks by actively encouraging candidates body of scholarly work addresses issues regarding the welfare and representation of historically under-served communities inour region.
Candidates should present documented activities in appropriately aligned teaching, scholarship/research, and service, including community-based endeavors.
Working Location
This is an onsitepositionin Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
Employment is contingent upon a completed background and CORI check satisfactory to the university.
