Job Summary

CRH is recognized as an industry leader in producing high-quality cements, driving sustainable practices and continuously reducing the environmental impact of cement production. As a core Group Function, Group Technical Services (GTS) supports Operating Companies through initiatives focused on performance improvement, quality enhancement, and sustainability.

GTS operates Task Forces across six global clusters, each focused on five key technical domains:

  • Alternative Fuels & Raw Materials (AFR)

Each Task Force is typically chaired by a Plant Manager, with members drawn from Production, Process, Maintenance, Engineering, and other senior technical roles across CRH plants. GTS appoints a Task Force Leader for each topic to support regional performance and ensure global knowledge flow.

The Task Force Leader plays a critical role in guiding regional groups toward operational excellence, coordinating knowledge transfer, and facilitating the adoption of best practices. This includes attending cluster Task Force meetings, supporting roadmap development, ensuring alignment with CRH's technical priorities, and chairing global sessions for cross-regional learning.

The Task Force Leader
  • Supports plants in delivering optimal operational performance, ensuring consistent clinker and cement quality.
  • Ensures CRH sites are aware of and positioned to adopt world-class developments and innovations in cement manufacturing.
  • Challenges plants constructively on roadmap design, target setting, and benchmarking to unlock continuous improvement.

This role offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Gain a comprehensive view of CRH's global cement operations.
