JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Loan Officer Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Proactively source, identify, and engage experienced mortgage loan officers within designated markets using online resources based on current needs and priorities designated by the Director of Sales.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects via phone, email, and text outreach.
  • Present Salem Five’s value proposition to appropriate and interested candidates.
  • Make introductions to the Director of Sales for follow‑up.
Onboarding & New Hire Integration
  • Onboard new hires and serve as a primary contact for systems, processes, guidelines, compliance, departmental introduction, and support.
  • Provide guidance during the new hire’s first 90 days and give feedback to the Director of Sales.
Sales Enablement & Training Development
  • Maintain SOPs, training materials, guidelines, and job aids on the mortgage intranet.
Reporting, KPIs & Performance Metrics
  • Provide recurring reports to the Director of Sales to measure sales activity and performance to aid in identifying and acting on KPIs.
Channel III (Direct‑to‑Consumer Platform) Support
  • Monitor loan activity generated through the Channel III direct‑to‑consumer platform and ensure timely follow‑up on inbound opportunities.
  • Report results to the Director of Sales on a recurring basis.

This person may be asked, from time‑to‑time, to partner on special departmental projects as they arise.

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3+ years of experience in mortgage recruiting, mortgage loan origination, or sales/business development within financial services. Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, recruiting, sales enablement, or sales growth. Industry knowledge – understanding of the mortgage origination process, loan officer compensation structures, agency and portfolio lending products, and familiarity with mortgage technology platforms (e.g., Encompass, POS systems) preferred.

Salary Range

$60,000 – $90,000 plus bonus.
