Overview

Salem Five is a growing regional financial services organization with a long history in the communities we serve. We are an independent bank offering employees rewarding careers across retail banking, business banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, and Mortgage services.

Salem Five serves Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, and Suffolk counties with a network of retail branches and related financial services.

• Business Development:
  Identify sales opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and grow Salem Five’s market share in the communities we serve. Collaborate with branch management and internal partners to uncover needs and refer cross-sell opportunities (e.g., business loans, merchant services, insurance, and investment services). Engage in defined sales activities including uncovering customer needs, presenting solutions, closing, onboarding, following up, outbound calling, and recording each contact in the Bank’s system of record.
  
  Participate in team meetings, contribute to branch sales goals, support divisional campaigns, and celebrate team successes.

  Experience:
  
  Deliver an exceptional customer experience by making personal connections, understanding financial needs through discussion, recommending appropriate products and services, and providing financial solutions that meet customer needs.
• Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge:
  Understand banking business models, including income/expense streams and product portfolios. Quickly learn product benefits, build relationships with customers and colleagues, and demonstrate proficiency with Salem Five’s digital technology offerings. Be proficient with mobile devices, text, email, and application management; proficient with desktop applications (MS Office); adept at using the Internet to locate information; willingness to embrace new technologies.
• Banking Operations:
  Learn and adhere to branch operation policies and procedures (e.g., check cashing, deposits, settlement, account opening, debit card issuance, branch opening/closing, audits, compliance, vault/ATM management). Maintain universal branch banking skills, performing both sales and teller functions.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Some retail experience preferred, but not required. Demonstrates desire to develop banking skills and deliver superior customer experiences. Salem Five requires Universal Bankers to be federally registered through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and to maintain good standing. NMLS IDs renew annually.

$40,000 - $50,000 plus incentives. The posted pay range is the range Salem Five believes is appropriate at posting; actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, certifications, skills, location, and performance.
