Part-Time - Universal Banker - Float

Salem Five is a growing regional financial services organization with over 170 years of experience. It is an independent bank that offers employees successful and rewarding careers. This part‑time role requires 20 hours per week, scheduled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with flexible hours.

• Business Development
  • Identify sales opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and grow Salem Five’s market share in the communities it serves.
  • Collaborate with branch management and internal business partners to uncover needs and make referrals to cross‑sell products and services such as business loans, merchant services, insurance, and investment services.
  • Engage in defined sales activities including uncovering customer needs, offering solutions, closing the business, onboarding, follow‑up, outbound calling, and recording each point of customer contact in the Bank’s system of record.
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute toward branch sales goals, engage in divisional campaigns, and celebrate team successes.
• Customer Experience
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by making a personal connection with every customer.
  • Uncover their financial needs through meaningful discussion and exploration.
  • Make educated product and service recommendations based on expert knowledge.
  • Provide financial solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
• Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge
  • Understand the business of banking, including income and expense streams and portfolio of products and services.
  • Learn quickly the functionalities and benefits of the bank’s products and services.
  • Build relationships and alliances with customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Salem Five’s digital technology offerings, including mobile smart‑phones, desktop applications, and internet use.
  • Embrace new and emerging technologies.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Some retail experience preferred but not mandatory. Must wish to develop banking skills and deliver superior customer experience. Must hold a federally registered NMLS license and maintain mandatory mandatory mandatory mandatory record in compliance with licensing obligations. Individual NMLS IDs must be renewed annually.
