Manager Phlebotomy

Responsible for productivity, quality and service, strategic planning and continuous improvement of the phlebotomy program with strict adherence to regulatory requirements. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes.

• Knows, observes, updates, and implements policies and procedures.
• Creates and implements policies relating to Phlebotomy Services.
• Maintain knowledge and teach the proper procedure for the collection, processing, and shipping of blood for diagnostics testing.
• Responds to escalated service issues in a manner that maintains client business and build relationships.
• Prepares for compliance audits related to mobile phlebotomy program.

• Education:
  
  Associate's Degree Phlebotomy required or Bachelor's Degree Phlebotomy preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Licenses and Credentials:
  Experience in phlebotomy 3-5 years required and Prior supervisory experience 1-2 years preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • In depth knowledge of phlebotomy regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with statistical and computer productivity software (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated training skills.
