Position: Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $2,987 per week

Position Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is looking for a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. Required Qualifications
  • One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures
  • Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness for procedures
  • Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guide wires, and contrast agents
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
  • Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Proficiency in reading written instructions, following verbal instructions, and PC skills
Physical and Interpersonal Abilities
  • Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend as needed
  • Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor and Mental Requirements
  • Grasp and perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move when assisting with procedures and using department equipment
  • Coping with frequent contact with patients and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently; handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on detail
