Certification Details
- Labor and Delivery RN Day Rotator with 1 Night of Call and Every Other Weekend (EOW) – 36 or 48 hours.
- Shift rotates between 7:00am to 7:30pm, 11:00am to 11:30pm, and 7:00pm to 7:30am and EOW.
- Unit Name:
Labor & Delivery/Post Partum Unit. - 25-Bed Labor & Delivery Unit encompassing Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum (PP), Newborn Nursery (NBN), 2 Operating Rooms (ORs), 2 Recovery Rooms (RRs), and 2 Antepartum (ANU) rooms.
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: L&D 1:2-3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor, magnesium drip or epidural; PP 1:3-4.
- Average daily census: 15-25 mothers, babies, and labors.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC.
- Floating not required.
- Rotating shifts required; primarily day position with rotation to evenings and nights as needed due to union agreement.
Job Details
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, and Newborn Care.
- Current Massachusetts RN License required.
- Certifications required: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) every 2 years for Labor & Delivery.
- AHA ACLS certification preferred but not required.
Job Requirements
- Shift: Rotate between 7:00am to 7:30pm, 11:00am to 11:30pm, and 7:00pm to 7:30am and Every Other Weekend (EOW).
- 36 or 48 hours per week.
- One night of call and EOW required.
- No straight day shifts due to union agreement.
