** Job Summary
** We are seeking a Medical Assistant to directly support a Nurse Practitioner providing primary care services to an adult Medicaid population with complex medical needs.
This Medical Assistant will be primarily based at our Salem location (331 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970), Monday through Friday, with occasional coverage at the Saugus location (1069 Broadway, Saugus, MA 01906) to support staffing needs. Candidates should be aware that there is a possibility that supporting the Nurse Practitioner during home visits throughout the North Shore region may be required in the future.
The Medical Assistant will support a blend of clinical, administrative, and care coordination responsibilities. In addition to standard Medical Assistant duties such as rooming patients, assisting with direct patient care, and supporting face-to-face visits, this role will involve significant patient outreach. Responsibilities may include contacting patients with appointment reminders, assisting with scheduling diagnostic testing, managing in-basket tasks, supporting care coordination activities, and providing cross-coverage for other providers and office staff as needed.
We are seeking a collaborative, team-oriented Medical Assistant who is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced primary care environment. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of Medical Assistant experience and be comfortable working with complex patient populations while providing high-quality, patient-centered support.
Summary:
The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
