Overview

The Digital Accessibility Project Manager (Title II Lead) is responsible for coordinating Salem State University’s institution-wide digital accessibility and ADA Title II compliance efforts. The position provides strategic leadership for digital accessibility governance, standards, inventory, remediation, and institutional guidance. The Title II Lead serves as the primary digital accessibility subject matter expert within Information Technology Services, leads technical accessibility efforts and liaises with other academic and administrative units responsible for compliance in their respective domains.

This position requires an on-campus presence.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field, or four years of equivalent professional accessibility and accommodation experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of ADA Title II requirements and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to plan and execute complex, cross-functional initiatives; coordinate work with a variety of groups across campus; communicate clearly with stakeholders with differing levels of technical ability; and keep projects on track through effective prioritization, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Professional accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS or PMI.
  • Experience working in higher education or public‑sector environments.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and remediation processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical and regulatory concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Working Location

    This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on‑campus, in‑person responsibilities, which may require occasional work on evenings and weekends.
