Duties- Perform simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities.
- Maintain general cleaning, ground maintenance, and repairs to the parks and the efficient operation and care of buildings and structures serving public usage.
- Conduct custodial services including cleaning sinks, toilets, sweeping, mopping floors, and keeping adequate supplies of soap, towels, and toilet paper for public restrooms, picnic areas, and campgrounds.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
- Required to have a valid state‑issued driver’s license when operating a government or private motor vehicle as part of duties.
- Willingness to wear a uniform, conduct optional on‑call work, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift work.
- At least 18 years old, or 16 years old with high school completion or equivalent, or enrolled in secondary school with part‑time employment during school hours.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, and use of measuring instruments.
- Ability to safely use and maintain tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of materials and interpretation of instructions, including blueprints.
Experience through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) or other organizations is credited. Volunteers gain critical competencies and skills that translate directly to paid employment.
EducationThere is no substitution of education for experience for wage grade positions.

Non‑Competitive Rehire EligibilityTemporary seasonal employees can maintain their rehire eligibility if they work no more than a combined total of 1,040 hours. Exceeding this limit may result in loss of eligibility.
Employment TerminationEmployment may be terminated at any time due to funding fluctuations, project needs, employee performance, or other considerations.
Physical DemandsWork from ladders, scaffolds, and platforms; frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.
Working ConditionsWork is performed inside and outside, with exposure to dirt, spray, fumes, inclement weather, and protective equipment.
