Position Overview

Unit: MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit)
Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
Shift: Nights (Non-rotating)
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Floating: Required
Parking: Free On-Site

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU)
• Adult patient population
• 24/7 coverage by Attendings & Residents
• Facility Size: 400+ bed community hospital
  • 220 Med-Surg beds
  • ICU, Maternity & other specialty units
• EMR: EPIC

Common conditions include:

• Substance Abuse / Overdose
• Severe Psychiatric Conditions
• DKA
• Sepsis
• GI Bleed
• Respiratory Failure
• Cardiac Arrest
• Renal Failure
• Cardiogenic Shock

• 2+ years Adult ICU experience required
• Must have 2+ years continuous experience in one facility (preferably MICU)
• Must be able to read Telemetry strips independently
• Telemetry competency required
