Based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined).

Unit Name:
Level III Trauma Center – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with Med/Surg floating required.

Unit Size: 20‑bed MICU + Med/Surg. The 400+ bed Salem Hospital hosts 220 Med/Surg beds plus ICU, Maternity, etc. Attendings and residents are present 24 hr/day.

Patient Population:
Adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock.

• Minimum 2+ years of continuous experience in adult ICU, preferably MICU.
• Continuous work experience at one location (2+ years).
• Telemetry competency required.
• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.

Shift: 12‑hour nights. Weeks: 36–48 hrs with MICU nights and EOW; floating required (mostly Med/Surg, up to 4–5 patients).

Rotating shifts for day positions (7a‑7p, 11a‑11p, or 7p‑7a); night shift does not rotate.

RN to patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 in high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg.
