About This Role

The Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care before, during, and after radiological procedures. This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled in patient assessment and collaboration within a healthcare team.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical history and current health status.
  • Evaluate patients' emotional and physical needs prior to procedures.
  • Prepare patients for various imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, MRIs).
  • Educate patients and families about the procedures and any necessary preparations.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and reactions during procedures.
  • Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed.
  • Work closely with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to address concerns and provide support.
  • Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
  • Experience: Previous experience in radiology or a related field preferred.

    Certifications:

    Current RN Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in good standing is required; BLS and ACLS certification required; certification in radiology nursing (e.g., CRN) is a plus.
