WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing a wide range of emergent and life-threatening conditions.

Job Function:- Shift: 3x12
- Rotating shifts:
Days / Evenings / Nights- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform EKGs
- Assist with procedures including splinting and point-of-care testing
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC ASAP
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units as needed
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
- NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
- Experience with EPIC ASAP EMR preferred
- Strong ED skill set including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and patient assessment
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
