IV Therapy RN
IV Therapy Registered Nurses must achieve and maintain the required core IV Therapy skills and competencies for the department. Skills include peripheral IV insertion, CVAD dressing changes, and non-tunneled CVAD removals. The role also involves reconstitution, instillation, and removal of thrombolytics. Access and de-access implanted ports and reposition peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) as needed. Ultrasound guided IV line placement is essential.
Patient population includes all ages: neonatal, infant, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Charting will be conducted using an electronic medical record system. All day shift positions are rotating. An active RN License and AHA BLS certification are required.
