School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN | Salem, Massachusetts

This contract position, based near Salem, MA, offers the opportunity to provide one‑on‑one nursing assistance for a student with a tracheostomy (with nothing actively running) in a supportive school environment.

The position is part‑time mornings, with hours running Monday through Friday from 8am to 2pm until June 23. Following a short break, the schedule continues Monday through Thursday, 8am to 12:30pm, from July 6 to August 6. You’ll be embedded in a collaborative classroom, working closely with educators and specialists to ensure optimal care and safety for the student.

• Current, active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN ASN license in Massachusetts
• Prior experience providing care for students with tracheostomies is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic school environment
• Strong organizational skills and a nurturing, compassionate demeanor

• Monitor and attend to the health and well‑being of the assigned student throughout the school day
• Implement and document student care plans and procedures relating to the tracheostomy
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school personnel to support student learning and participation
• Respond promptly to health concerns or emergencies as needed
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and ensure compliance with district and state regulations
