American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 32-bed Ortho/Neuro unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active MA RN license.
Details- Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit (Phippen 6/7), a 32-bed Ortho/Neuro unit that also admits general medical overflow patients
- Patient population includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, and general medical overflow
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30; every other weekend (EOW) required
- 36 hours per week
- Night shift positions do not rotate between shift times
- Clinician-to-patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 on nights
- Floating to applicable units is required when requested
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Telemetry strip interpretation is required on this unit
- Active, unrestricted MA RN license currently in hand — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in a single location and 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS certification (AHA only — no other providers accepted at this facility)
- Current AHA ACLS certification (AHA only — no other providers accepted at this facility; ACLS is preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips
- Neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency required
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Provide Med/Surg nursing care to orthopedic, neurological, and general medical overflow patients
- Epic is the EMR used for charting at this facility
- Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at an estimated cost of $17–$22 per day, and public transportation is an alternative
