American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level III Trauma facility in Massachusetts, requiring OR experience with Mako and Da Vinci systems and an active MA RN license.
Details- Work in a 15-bed Operating Room at a Level III Trauma facility in a complex community hospital setting
- Patient population includes Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients
- Daily census of approximately 30–40 patients with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Multispecialty OR environment requiring competence across surgical specialties
- Experience with Mako and Da Vinci robotic systems utilized in this role
- Charting performed in Epic
- Schedule rotates between Days and Evenings (1:00 PM–11:30 PM), with 1–2 evening rotations per 4-week schedule
- Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required, with 1–2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- On-call is required: 2–3 weekday calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule, plus 1 holiday call
- Weekend shifts include an attached call shift (e.g., working 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with call from 5:30 PM–11:00 PM)
- No floating required
- 40-hour weekly position on a 13-week contract
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
- BLS certification required — AHA only;
Red Cross and other providers are not accepted at this facility - 1–2 years of OR RN experience required
- Proficiency in basic aseptic technique and independent circulating required
- Multispecialty OR competence required
- Experience with Mako and Da Vinci robotic systems required
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Active MA license must be in hand at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted
- BSN and CNOR certification are preferred
- Scrub experience is preferred
- Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and will receive a reduced pay rate
- RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Time and attendance tracked via UKG/Kronos
- Parking is not validated; public parking is available at candidate expense
