We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Unit Manager (LPN or RN) to join our talented staff at Advinia Care at Vinnin Square, a leading senior living provider in Salem, Massachusetts. Our long term care facility offers a range of services and amenities to support the unique needs of each resident. As a Unit Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care and services.

About the Role:

As a Nurse Unit Manager (LPN or RN), you will assume a management position responsible for providing leadership and monitoring of quality resident care. Your primary focus will be on the management of nursing personnel on designated nursing units during assigned shifts, ensuring that nursing standards are met and quality resident care is delivered. You will also perform a variety of direct and indirect nursing services to meet the personnel needs and promote the well-being of residents in accordance with acceptable nursing practices and the policies of the facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Makes daily rounds of nursing unit, evaluates resident care and staff performance, acts as a liaison between staff and nursing administration
  • Interprets policies, procedures, standards, and rules and regulations to all unit managers and nursing staff, provides positive and/or corrective action in dealing with respective unit nursing personnel
  • Communicates pertinent organizational and departmental information to other supervisors and all nursing units
  • Maintains records that are pertinent to the operation and management of nursing units, condition of residents, resident census, and nursing service rendered
  • Identifies staff, supply, and/or equipment needs and provides input into plans of correction
  • Ability to function effectively and efficiently in emergency situations
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations with regards to Resident assessments and care plan implementation
  • Evaluates and recommends changes/improvements in areas affecting quality resident care
  • Communicates with residents, family members, physicians, and staff to assure resident satisfaction
  • Establish, maintain, and promote effective working relationships with nursing personnel, residents, family members, and ancillary staff
  • All other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current R.N. or LPN registration, within state
  • Three years of experience preferred with a minimum of two years in a long-term care facility
  • Minimum of one-year previous leadership experience
