American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend position requiring 2 years of ED nursing experience and an active MA RN license.
Details- Work in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and a dedicated Acute Mental Health area
- Cares for all patient populations with an average daily census of 230 visits
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
- Uses EPIC EMR with ASAP module for charting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every-other-weekend requirement
- Floating required within the department
- May be required to rotate to day shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) when requested, though rotation frequency is low and the night position itself does not rotate
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Active MA RN license required, NURSYS and BON primary source verification required within 30 days of start, conditional licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
- Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care across a high-acuity, high-volume ED setting
- Free on-site parking is available for this position
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate compared to standard travel rate
- RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration for this position
