Travel RN - Neonatal ICU - Level II Nursery

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level 2B Special Care Nursery position requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and an active MA RN license.

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• 3 years of experience working in one location and 2 years of experience as a traveler required
• Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care skill sets required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Work in the Level 2B Special Care Nursery unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 ANU rooms, and a recovery room
• 25-bed unit with 5 LD rooms, 12 PP beds, 2 ORs with recovery, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
• Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• Patient ratios include L&D 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip or epidural patients, and PP 1:3-4
• 36 hours per week on a Day Rotate schedule (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) with one night of call, plus every other weekend
• Evening and Night shifts are non-rotating
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Provide specialized nursing care within the Special Care Nursery, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery areas
• Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify as local
• Local candidates will receive a rate 5% lower than the standard travel rate
