Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

Salem, MA | Acute Care

Contract | 36 or 48 hours per week | Days/Evenings rotating with 1–3 Night rotations per contract | Every Other Weekend required

• Float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital, including ED border patients, acute mental health medication nurse coverage, and care for non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Manage and administer cardiac drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Provide direct patient care with ratios of up to 5:1 on Days/Evenings and up to 6:1 on Nights
• Utilize TR Band experience as applicable to patient population
• Document and chart accurately using EPIC EMR

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including strip interpretation and interval measurement
• Ability and willingness to float to 8 different units as assigned

• 2 or more years of experience specifically in telemetry or Med/Surg Telemetry settings
• TR Band experience
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
• Familiarity with caring for ED border patients and acute mental health populations

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic float pool environment across a wide variety of Med/Surg Telemetry units within a large acute care facility
