Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (Nights)

Salem, MA

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend

• Provide direct nursing care on a 37-bed medical telemetry unit for patients admitted from the ED, transferred from other units, or directly admitted
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Heparin Care for patients with primary diagnoses including CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, Pneumonia, and cardiac co-morbidities
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Provide post-procedure nursing care for NSTEMI, post-pacemaker, and post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Float to applicable units as needed and maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Telemetry Certification
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a single facility setting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a travel nurse

• Experience providing nursing care for post-cardiac catheterization and post-pacemaker patients
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience managing patients with EtOH-related conditions and dementia with cardiac co-morbidities

• Night shift positions do not require rotating shifts, offering a consistent and predictable schedule
• Free on-site parking available for all staff
