Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse

Salem, MA

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Days/Evenings/Nights Rotating, Every Other Weekend

• Float between up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the facility, including ED, acute mental health, and ICU overflow areas
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Administer and manage cardiac drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Provide care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Utilize TR Band experience as applicable within assigned units

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and telemetry strip interpretation
• Ability and willingness to float to 8 different units per assignment

• 2 or more years of dedicated telemetry nursing experience
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
• TR Band experience

• Free on-site parking available for all staff
• Opportunity to gain broad clinical experience across multiple Med/Surg Telemetry units within a 371-bed acute care facility
