ICU Registered Nurse (MICU) – 36 Hours, Day Rotate / Every Other Weekend

Salem, MA

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, or 7p–7a) | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at a Level III Trauma Center, managing a wide range of high-acuity adult diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, GI bleed, renal failure, cardiogenic shock, substance abuse/overdose, and severe psychiatric conditions
• Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU based on acuity; float to Medical/Surgical units as needed with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately during ICU and float assignments
• Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours per day
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC EMR
• Rotate shifts as required for Day Rotate positions (7a–7p, 11a–11p, or 7p–7a)

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU (MICU) experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical units as needed

• 2+ years of continuous experience in a single MICU setting
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
• Familiarity with Level III Trauma Center environments and complex community hospital settings

• Work in a dynamic, high-acuity ICU environment supported by attending physicians and residents around the clock
• Free on-site parking available
