Float Pool Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Salem, MA | Acute Care

Contract | 36 or 48 hours per week | Evening shift with every other weekend requirement | Day/Evening rotation with 1–3 night rotations per contract

• Float between up to 8 different Medical/Surgical Telemetry units throughout the hospital
• Perform telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting tele strips every 4 hours
• Manage cardiac drips and provide cardiac monitoring for assigned patients
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and provide care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse
• Proficiency with cardiac drips and telemetry strip interpretation
• Willingness and ability to float to 8 different units as assigned

• 2 years of experience in telemetry monitoring, including interval measurement and strip interpretation
• TR Band experience
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records

• Gain diverse clinical experience by working across multiple Medical/Surgical Telemetry units within a 371-bed acute care facility
