Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an MICU RN for night and every-other-weekend shifts at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Telemetry competency required, including ability to read telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas
• EPIC EMR system used for charting
• Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU setting alongside attendings and residents
• Free on-site parking available
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify for the local candidate rate
