Job TitleMedical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights
LocationSalem, MA | Acute Care
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | Expected 36 hours/week | Every Other Weekend
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Orthopedic/Neurological Medical-Surgical unit serving scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, and medical overflow
- Interpret and read telemetry strips as a core component of patient monitoring and safety
- Perform neurological assessments and apply telemetry competency skills across assigned patient population
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 on night shift, adjusting as census requires
- Float to applicable units when requested based on facility need
- Current Massachusetts RN License required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience in a single location
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
- Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips
- Proficiency with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency
- ACLS certification preferred
- Prior experience with EPIC EMR
- Background working with orthopedic, neurological, or surgical patient populations
- Opportunity to work on a specialized Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit with a diverse and dynamic patient population
- Night shift positions do not rotate, offering a consistent and predictable schedule
