Gallery Officer (Manufacturing)
The Peabody Essex Museum is seeking candidates for a part‑time Security Gallery Officer position. Our professional security staff is responsible for enforcing museum security policies and procedures in order to protect the museum’s notable collections, exhibits, and property.
Gallery Officers are responsible for safeguarding collections and providing assistance to museum visitors and staff within and around the museum complex. This forward‑facing role requires regular interaction with the public and the ability to stay calm during emergencies or conflicts.
Responsibilities- Enforce museum security policies and procedures to protect collections, exhibits, and property.
- Safeguard collections and provide assistance to visitors and staff.
- Respond calmly to emergencies or conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy working with the public.
