Position Summary

RN or LPN-Med/Surg – Medical‑Surgical Full‑Time Night Shift.

FLSA Status:
Non‑Exempt

• Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing care standards.
• Work under the supervision of the department director/charge nurse.
• Proactively recognize and assist patients throughout the healthcare system, responding to their needs promptly and efficiently.
• When in the Charge Nurse role, make assignments and facilitate continuity of care and patient safety.
• Use critical‑thinking skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
• Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures, and abide by federal, state, and local requirements.
• Follow hospital safety measures such as infection prevention, safe patient handling and movement, critical lab notification, etc., to ensure safe patient care.
• Maintain work area and equipment cleanliness according to departmental standards.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings, in‑services, and required training.
• Keep abreast of current trends and knowledge through continuing education.

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or LPN license (new graduate: within 6 months of hire or after first successful attempt of Missouri state boards).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Capacity for critical thinking and effective communication.
