Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk in Salem, New Hampshire. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential purchasing, planning, and negotiation activities while working collaboratively with various departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all accounting-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Procure essential supplies and materials to support operational needs.

- Coordinate production schedules to align with inventory and manufacturing requirements.

- Negotiate supplier contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing.

- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Accounting, and Inventory Control teams to streamline processes.

- Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date records of transactions.

- Process invoices promptly and ensure compliance with established guidelines.

- Utilize Excel and other tools to analyze data and support reporting requirements.

- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to procurement and supplier accounts.

- Maintain attention to detail in all tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

- Previous experience with data entry and invoice processing is ideal.

- Proficiency in Excel and a strong ability to analyze and manage data.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments.

- Experience working with systems, preferably .

- Ability to coordinate with Manufacturing, Accounting, and Inventory Control teams.

- Exceptional attention to detail for accurate and efficient work.

- College degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
