Senior Accounting Manager

The Senior Accounting Manager owns day‑to‑day accounting. You will work closely with the CFO, who provides strategic oversight and support.

• Own the full month‑end close process
• Maintain the general ledger, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and manage inter‑company eliminations
• Manage fixed asset schedules and depreciation

• Maintain job cost tracking by project
• Prepare WIP schedules and apply percentage‑of‑completion accounting
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams

• Oversee customer billing and collections
• Approve vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
• Maintain vendor list, credit card and expense reconciliation, and annual 1099s

• Manage daily cash positioning and inter‑company cash transfers
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain payment approval controls
• Coordinate with external stakeholders on tax and compliance matters

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to construction, contracting, or project‑based industries
• Demonstrated understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage‑of‑completion accounting
• Multi‑entity experience
• CPA not required but is a plus; strong technical accounting foundation is expected
• Strong proficiency with Net Suite Oracle ERP

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction/project‑based accounting principles
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with a process‑oriented mindset
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Clear communicator
