About the Company:
Moveras is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to join our team in Salem, NH. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your contributions will make an impact.

About the Role:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions and will ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly expense analysis reports.
  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain fixed asset software updates and reconciliation to GL.
  • Prepare weekly direct labor payroll reports within deadlines to assist operations.
  • Prepare all weekly payroll reports for management review.
  • Update and maintain tax compliance in federal, state and local jurisdictions.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, as needed.
  • Support budget preparation and expense tracking to align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and file tax documents, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Sage Fixed Assets, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA certification or working towards certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
